About Us

Our Story

Altar Life Ministries began as a small gathering of people with a passion to love God and serve our city. Over the years, we have grown into a diverse family that celebrates faith, hope and love. We believe that church should be a place where everyone feels welcome and can encounter the presence of God.

Today, the ministry is led by Pastor Roderic Baker and Prophetess Sophia Baker, whose vision is to build a life‑giving church that reflects the diversity of our community and helps people find hope and purpose in Jesus.

Our heart is to see lives transformed, relationships restored and communities impacted by the power of the Gospel. Whether you're exploring faith for the first time or looking for a place to call home, there's a spot for you here.

Mission & Vision

Mission: To love God, love people and change the world by making disciples who encounter Jesus and live out His love.

Vision: To be a church that reflects the diversity of our city, serves the needs of our community and raises up leaders for the next generation.

What We Believe

We believe the Bible is the inspired word of God and provides practical guidance for daily living. We believe in one God existing eternally in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe that salvation is a free gift through faith in Jesus Christ and that the Holy Spirit empowers believers to live a godly life.
